Home Brewing!
I have been home brewing beer since 1994.  It is a fairly labor intensive process to make a 5 gallon batch of Home Brew, but if you are a fan of good beer, the result is well worth the effort.  I always had an interest in making wine, but was afraid to waste my time on wine, because most of the homemade wines I had tasted in the past, were not to my liking at all.
However, during the summer of 2009, we went to Illmitz, Austria (on the Nuusiedler See, near the Hungarian border) to visit family members we had never met.  Of all of the many cousins I met, 4 of them had successful commercial wineries, with two of them already available to buy here in the United States.  It was a wonderful visit with some of the friendliest people I've ever met.  While there, they convinced me to carry on the family business here in the States.  So, I started educating myself on winemaking & grape vine growing.  If you have an interest in how to make beer or wine, visit the pages below, and Happy Home Brewing!

Home Brewed Beer
If you just like to drink Coors Light, Miller Lite, or Bud...This hobby is not for you.

However, if you prefer beers with actual flavor & character, then you can make any type of specialty beer you desire, for about the same price as the above listed American "rice beers".

All that is required is about $150 worth of equipment, and a couple of spare hours.
